Hit UK rapper Dave has dropped his second album, We’re All Alone in This Together, and one of the songs has caught the eye as “Verdansk” appears to be a direct tribute to Warzone – Call of Duty’s battle royale behemoth.

David Orobosa Omoregie, better known as Dave, has released his second album this week entitled “We’re All Alone in This Together.” It looks to bring more of the flair and creativity that shot the rapper to success in 2019 with the release of his debut album “Psychodrama.”

Fast forward to 2021, and Dave is in the headlines once more with his latest release, and amidst all the tunes on the record, “Verdansk” has been singled out amongst CoD fans.

Dave's new song, Verdansk

It’s not weird for celebrities to like video games, far from it in fact. Evidently, this seems to be the case for Dave as he’s celebrated Activision’s phenomenon – Call of Duty: Warzone.

The 2nd song off of his new album clocks in at 3 minutes and 2 seconds, and the lyrics talk about third-partying in Warzone and its different locations: “Airport, we’re going for bants, I hopped out the plane, I ain’t going to Verdnask.”

It’s interesting to see Warzone’s presence translate to the music scene, and Dave is the sort of name that can help bring even more attention to the game.

The album’s lead single “Clash” is a collaboration with worldwide rap sensation Stormzy, who himself is a big gamer and played a part in Ubisoft’s 2020 Watch Dogs: Legion.

It’s also not the first time that Dave has made reference to video games in the past as his 2016 song “Six Paths” talked about Tekken: “Your guys will hide in the mist if my brother’s put iron in fist like Kazuya.”

It will be a nice bit of publicity for Warzone, and will likewise attract some interest to the rising UK rapper.
