Warzone 2 Season 2 went back on many of the changes introduced when the sequel launched, and streaming star TimTheTatman believes the update “saved” Al Mazrah.

Warzone 2 arrived to a relatively mixed reception from the community. While players loved the Al Mazrah map, many felt that the gameplay changes from the original were holding the sequel back from greatness.

The devs clearly took note, as the Season 2 update addressed many of the concerns players had. 1v1 Gulags returned, custom Perk Packages were made available, and Resurgence mode was added along with the new Ashika Island map.

It seems the changes have worked as intended, as popular streamer TimTheTatman has claimed that Season 2 saved Warzone 2.

In a recent upload to his channel, the YouTuber praised the devs after playing his first Warzone 2 match since the update.

“This is my first time playing Al Mazrah with the update, and I think it’s good,” said Tim. “The changes they made were good. The new looting I like, the deploy tokens out of the Strongholds I like, more loadouts I like, the movement with plates I like.”

He went on to say that the CoD community is quick to call out the devs when things aren’t right, so he feels it’s only fair to applaud them after taking a step in the right direction.

“We’re very fast to talk trash, we’re very quick to be like, ‘Call of Duty, what are they doing?'” Tim continued. “I think we deserve to say, Call of Duty, this was all a good update.

“A lot of people will say this is probably what it should have been beforehand, but the bottom line is it’s what we’ve got now. So, let’s get some Ws going for that.”

He finished by welcoming the return of 1v1 Gulags, claiming this, along with the changes he mentioned, “lowkey saved” Warzone 2, and the game “feels so much better” in Season 2.

Following the positive response to Season 2, fans will be hoping that Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded can continue the good form. It’s already been confirmed that a one-shot Sniper mode and the new Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle are on the way, so there’s plenty to look forward to.
