The Rock teases major crossover with Fortnite Season 6
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared a cryptic new video on his Instagram in which hinted at a potential Fortnite crossover in Chapter 2, Season 6.
Fortnite is known for its various crossovers, and even though Season 6 has only just gone live, we’ve already seen characters like Lara Croft join the battle royale. Now, we might have a clue as to who will be the next addition to Fortnite Island.
A few subtle in-game details along with teasers on social media are hinting at a possible crossover with the actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at some point during this season. Here’s what we know about it so far.
Will The Rock be in Fortnite Season 6
In the Zero Crisis cinematic, Agent Jones recruited a mysterious ally whose identity is currently unknown. However, the same day that this character joined Fortnite, The Rock shared a cryptic message on Instagram.
“The date is March 16,” he said. “In a certain world, in a certain culture, today was a big day.”
This phrasing hints at The Rock landing in Fortnite Island in the near future. The new mysterious character’s skin is named “The Foundation,” and this word was also in the post’s caption.
“His sacrifice won’t be forgotten,” the description reads. “He is the “leader of the Seven.” After this video, players started discovering some hidden details in the new update, including a teaser in the Foundation skin.
The metallic design of the character, along with shape of his tribal tattoos seems to match the celebrity, and the in-game audio files for the skin are also listed under a folder titled ‘DJ.’
It’s entirely possible that this could be a hint towards The Rock’s initials, and is teasing his introduction to the battle royale.
This has led to widespread fan speculation that the Foundation skin could be The Rock in disguise. However, we should take this with a grain of salt until we get some official confirmation from Epic Games.
