SypherPK predicts Fortnite Chapter 2 will end after Season 5

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is set to end on March 16, and content creator SypherPK believes Chapter 3 will begin instead of a Season 6.

Fortnite Season X ended back in 2019, with most players expecting there to be a Season 11 following it. However, after hours of Fortnite only showing a black hole, players were plunged into the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1.

A year and a half later, we’re now nearing the end of Chapter 2, Season 5. While it’s likely Fortnite will carry on with its ’10 seasons to a chapter’ approach, Fortnite streamer and YouTuber SypherPK believes we’ll see the start of Chapter 3 instead.

Will Fortnite Season 5 end Chapter 2?

Rather than going by the number of seasons, SypherPK took a look at the time periods between chapters.

If Fortnite Seasons 6-10 lasted the same amount of time as Season 1-5, we’d be looking at Chapter 2 lasting up to four years. That’s a long time for a single map.

With Fortnite Chapter 1 lasting around 24 months, and Chapter 2 currently on 18 months, it’s possible that the chapters will both last the same amount of time, although having different numbers of seasons.

“It’s not completely out of the realm of reality for that, you know, the first chapter is 10 seasons and the second chapter is half of that in terms of season,” said SypherPK. “But it’s still about the same amount of time covered on this map.”

Agent Jonesy becoming Chapter 1 Jonesy

As Jonesy recruits hunters from around the universe to protect the Zero Point, he looks more and more like the default Jonesy we saw in Chapter 1.

Jonesy in Fortnite Season 5

At the beginning of Season 5, he was suited and booted. But now, his hair is ruffled like when we first saw him, and his tie has been wrapped around his arm like the default Jonesy had.

From this information, Sypher believes that Agent Jonesy is becoming Chapter 1’s Default Jonesy through time travel. Jonesy may be stuck in a time-loop, and this will be the plot for upcoming Fortnite seasons.

Unless Fortnite Chapter 2 has fewer (or drastically shortened) seasons, it’s likely that we’ll still be playing on the Chapter 2 map well into 2023.
