Players had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but early reports have shown signs of trouble as the game’s performance on PC is not promising at the moment.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s release date is almost here, and players looking forward to jumping back into the role of Cal Kestis as he explores new planets and battles villains on his journey to restore the Jedi Order.

Players can check out the new Star Wars title on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. However, some that have already checked out Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC are reporting major issues with the game’s performance.

YouTuber ‘Skill Up’ tweeted that they have a review ready for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and have enjoyed the new game. However, they advised players against checking out the title on PC due to performance issues.

Skill Up explained: “It’s a great game that you should absolutely avoid if you’re playing on PC (for now, at least). The port is a total mess, namely awful FPS performance that cannot be improved through any settings changes.”

This was not the only case of PC players having trouble, as a review on PC Gamer brought up “constant performance issues” on the platform even with Nvidia’s latest driver optimized for the game.

The review mentioned that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s FPS would regularly drop during cutscenes or when going through doors, leading to the characters’ dialogue being cut off or overlapping.

This reportedly also occurs when using the galaxy map to find planets to explore on Cal’s ship. The frame rate mainly dips when the game has to load something, and the review claims that visiting Koboh causes major problems.

Despite these issues, the reviewer made it clear that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is still a great title. New releases often have a few issues to fix up and EA confirmed that they would work on “performance improvements across all platforms.”
