The Warzone 2 Season 3 update introduced a brand-new Battle Rifle to the game called the Cronen Squall, and stats expert Whosimmortal believes his loadout and a small change can make it meta.

Warzone 2 Season 3 has introduced players to a bunch of new content, including a new Battle Pass and BlackCell offering, which aren’t getting the most praise, to say the least.

A new season means new weapons and a meta change with buffs and nerfs in the patch notes, leaving Warzone 2 experts like WhosImmortal to figure out the best weapons to use in the new update.

As well as the exciting return of the classic Intervention Sniper, players were also gifted a brand-new Battle Rifle, the Cronen Squall. WhosImmortal believes this weapon could be the meta in Warzone 2 Season 3, especially if you apply one simple change to the gun.

According to Warzone 2 content creator and expert WhosImmortal, the Cronen Squall is much more effective in semi-automatic mode. The weapon is set to fully automatic by default, but WhosImmortal claims its “damage is a lot better” in semi-automatic.

While this seems like a simple change, WhosImmortal says that the weapon “thrives more” in semi-automatic for Warzone 2, as a lot of engagements are at range. In fully automatic, the weapon’s recoil can be intense, and its damage profile is worse, so WhosImmortal has built a loadout for the Cronen Squall in semi-automatic.

WhosImmortal’s Warzone 2 Cronen Squall loadout

  • Muzzle: ZLR Talon 5
  • Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip
  • Ammunition: 6.8 High Velocity
  • Magazine: 30 Round Mag
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro

To start this Warzone 2 Cronen Squall loadout, WhosImmortal chooses the ZLR Talon 5 muzzle for an increase in damage range, bullet velocity, and recoil smoothness.

The 30 Round Mag is essential, as the base magazine size of just 20 bullets is not enough for the demands of Warzone 2. Next up, the 6.8 High Velocity ammunition is perfect for boosting the weapon’s bullet velocity, which makes those long-range fights a lot easier.

As for the underbarrel attachment, the Edge-47 Grip provides a boost in stability and recoil stabilization.

As for the optic, this is completely up to preference, but WhosImmortal chooses the Cronen Mini Pro, which is a nice clean sight, however, it lacks range, so you may want to opt for something with a higher zoom.

Definitely give this weapon a try and give it a go in semi-automatic, as WhosImmortal states that it will “kill consistently over long-range.”
