Simple Vanguard trick allows Bren to two-shot players with zero recoil

The Bren is an extremely powerful choice in Vanguard’s multiplayer and it’s only got better after players have discovered a clever trick that allows it to two-shot players with zero recoil.

LMGs aren’t usually the most popular weapon type because of their low mobility and sometimes high recoil. But, the Bren has become one of the most popular weapons in Warzone, and now, it might just see the same rise in popularity in Vanguard.

Vanguard players have discovered a simple and clever trick that can make the Bren to two-shot enemies with ‘zero recoil,’ so here’s how to do it.

Bren LMG in Call of Duty Vanguard

Reddit user Matthew106 said that “The Bren is actually the most accurate LMG in the game,” and demonstrated how switching to semi-automatic mode eliminates all recoil.

In the attached clip, we can see the Reddit user hold down the trigger so that the recoil brings the barrel up to the roof. Then, they switch the Bren to the semi-automatic mode, and the weapon doesn’t move an inch.

Matthew106 and players in the comments say that this makes for an excellent long-range build, as you can use attachments such as the .50 BMG 50 Round Mags that up the damage but lower the recoil control, without the recoil effect being applied. They explained that this turns it into a “0 recoil 2 shot weapon with a 100 round mag,” that’s “just too good.”

But, it appears that the Bren is the only LMG this is practical with, as Matthew106 said that you’ll lose TTK for a “minute change in accuracy” with the MG42 and DP27. And somehow, the Type 100 gets even worse.

Other players revealed that you can also do this with the BAR and NZ-41, as their first few bullets have very little recoil.

It’s possible that this will be patched out in a future update, but the semi-automatic mode only really makes it effective at medium-long range. However, its two-shot nature will allow it to best Sniper Rifles and Marksman Rifles with ease.
