Shroud believes Battlefield 2042 is better than Modern Warfare 2
Top streamer Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has been a staple of the FPS scene for years and after playing Modern Warfare 2, he believes Battlefield 2042 is the better game.
While Modern Warfare 2 has been praised for how easy it is to rank up weapons and earn the Mastery camos, top streamers have been criticizing the game’s movement and skill-based matchmaking.
Long-time FPS player Shroud tried out Modern Warfare 2 but was left unimpressed, criticizing its “nauseating” animations and saying that the widely panned Battlefield 2042 is actually the better game.
While playing Modern Warfare 2, Shroud immediately criticized how his “whole screen is shaking” when he shoots, saying “there’s no way that’s real.”
Calling the new system “nauseating,” Shroud said nobody wants to see weapon shake on “f*cking everything.” To compare, he explained how Black Ops 4 “was sick because it was super smooth” with “nice clean animations.”
Although admitting that the game looks great, he called it “bad” and said “I think Battlefield is much better than this actually, the new one. Am I crazy for that?”
It’s no secret that Battlefield 2042 got off to a rocky start, with even EA admitting that it didn’t release in a great state. Shroud never minded the game though, saying he had fun with the Season 1 update.
His frustrations with Modern Warfare 2 culminated when he was hit by a crash, saying he “had enough” and decided to end the stream there. “I wanna say it was fun… I mean, it was CoD,” he concluded. “Same sh*t, different year.”
Dr Disrespect has also been extremely vocal in his disappointment with Modern Warfare 2, saying that it’s brought the worst version of a classic mode ever.
