Warzone 2 content creator Metaphor has revealed a game-altering audio trick that will allow you to hear the presence of enemy CoD players much more easily to pick up more kills.

Audio settings in Warzone 2, and Modern Warfare 2, is always a bone of contention for players who feel that the game audio isn’t entirely accurate and can lead to deaths as a result.

Streamers such as Dr Disrespect have been very vocal about Call of Duty’s audio in the past, with the Doc promising to deliver improved audio in his new game, and Warzone 2 has been no exception.

However, YouTuber and streamer Metaphor has let fans in on a neat little setting that you can change that should improve your ability to hear other players in your game.

How to hear players more easily in Warzone 2

In a YouTube video titled “Secret audio setting feels like cheating in Warzone 2,” Metaphor explained how PC players can gain an added advantage during the heat of combat.

“So what you’re actually gonna do here guys is you’re going to go into your sound settings on your PC and click on Playback right here,” he demonstrated in the video. “You’re gonna scroll down until you see what you’re using for your audio.”

Metaphor explains that he’s using the System setting and then instructs players to right-click on this, select the Properties option, go to Enhancements, and then click on the Loudness Equalization option.

The content creator also warned that “this isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, this will make you hear people better and louder 100%, but the only issue is sometimes the directional audio is a little bit off, a little bit off.”

Despite this minor caveat, Metaphor assures players that this audio setting will “alert you when people are in the area no matter what.”

It goes without saying that this nifty audio appears to be restricted to just PC players with PlayStation and Xbox not really having a comparable setting to play with.

For a full recap of what you’ll need to do in the game, check out these complete instructions:

  1. With your PC on and running, move your cursor to the sound icon in the bottom-right of your PC.
  2. Right-click on it and select Sounds.
  3. On the new box that opens up, click on Playback.
  4. Now, scroll down the list until you get to System.
  5. If it’s not already ticked, then make sure you do so and set it as your primary source.
  6. Once that’s done, right-click on System and then select Properties.
  7. Choose Enhancements, and then press on Loudness Equalization.

You can now jump into a game of Warzone 2 and see how the updated audio settings serve you and potentially improve your gameplay!
