Rumors claim CoD: Vanguard mini-map to be similar to Modern Warfare
One of the latest rumors to emerge for Call of Duty: Vanguard focuses on the game’s mini-map and how it will possibly work in the same manner as the feature did in Modern Warfare 2019.
The excitement and interest in Call of Duty: Vanguard is currently at an all-time high following the official reveal and flood of information announced for the game.
One of the biggest pieces of information revealed was that Call of Duty: Vanguard will run on the same engine that Modern Warfare 2019 did.
While the Modern Warfare engine was a fan-favorite thanks to its weapon animations and movement mechanics, the way the mini-map operated was not popular among many players, and a new rumor claims the Call of Duty: Vanguard mini-map could work in the same way.
Call of Duty: Vanguard mini-map
According to a report by ModernWarzone, the Call of Duty: Vanguard will not show unsuppressed fire, which was the case in Modern Warfare.
This change in Modern Warfare was a major topic in the Call of Duty community, as it changed a feature that had been a staple in the previous Call of Duty games with enemies showing up on your mini-map as a red dot whenever they fired a weapon with no suppressor.
This gave suppressors a tactical advantage and helped players locate the general location of enemies on the map.
Now, this Call of Duty: Vanguard mini-map rumor has not yet been confirmed by developer Sledgehammer Games, so it should be taken with a grain of salt until it is officially confirmed.
Players will get to see if the Call of Duty: Vanguard mini-map will operate in the same way as Modern Warfare’s when the Champion Hill Alpha takes place this weekend starting on August 27, 2021, and gives PlayStation players their first chance of jumping into the first-person shooter.
