Although the Riot Shield has been around since the start of Warzone, one player has found a creative way to utilize its toxic playstyle on Rebirth Island.

The Riot Shield has often been called the most toxic weapon in Warzone history. Although it doesn’t boast the high destructive power of other overpowered weapons, if utilized correctly it can absolutely torment enemy players.

In the hands of an expert, there are few strategies to face a Riot Shield and come out victorious. This is especially true on Warzone’s small Rebirth Island map.

While the Riot Shield may not be the best tool to use in Trios or Quads, it is absolutely devastating in Solos where enemy players must take it on alone. You may be surprised to discover that the Combat Shield has a shocking K/D of 1.13, which is just outside Warzone’s top ten.

A montage posted to the Warzone subreddit by LordTexugo showcases the true potential of the Riot Shield, or in this case, the Combat Shield. It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing gameplay, but once you begin to watch, it’s incredibly difficult to peel your eyes from the screen.

The key to creating this masterful montage is the combination of Restock, Gas Grenades, Frag Grenades, and the Riot Shield. When these three components come together, the player is able to pull off kill after kill on what were likely baffled players.

There’s a humorous characteristic to the video as the player repeatedly uses the Riot Shield and Grenades to trap players and force them into unfavorable scenarios where they’re completely helpless.

The player’s ability with Frag Grenades is just as impressive as their skill with the Riot Shield. The comments of the post are full of players who tip their hats to the montage, “This is the best use of a riot shield lol.” Even those who dislike Riot Shields can’t help but smirk at the clip, “Hate riot shields but this was ok lol.”
