The Pokemon Company have revealed the next set for its Pokemon TCG game called Shiny Treasure ex, and trainers will want to know everything about this new set. Here’s all the info about Pokemon TCG’s Shiny Treasure ex set, including its card list, release date, and the new Reverse Holo Cards.

Pokemon TCG is all about collecting the best cards, and trainers have proven that there’s nothing that will stop them in order to get ’em all.

After the successful release of the Ruler of the Black Flame and Raging Surf sets, the Pokemon TCG Shiny Treasure ex set is just what many players were asking for.

Here’s all you need to know about Pokemon TCG Shiny Treasure which includes some of the coolest cards from the Paldea Evolved Collection, but in their shiny versions.

Pokemon TCG Shiny Treasure ex set: Release date

The Pokemon TCG Shiny Treasure ex set will be released in Japan on December 1, 2023, and will include 190 cards. However, some of them haven’t been disclosed yet, allowing for the possibility to include some secret cards.

There’s no confirmation on a global release date for the Pokemon TCG Shiny Treasure ex set, but we will keep you updated if an official date is revealed.

Pokemon TCG Shiny Treasure ex new Reverse Holo Cards

With the release of Shiny Treasure ex, Pokemon TCG is including brand-new Reverse Holo Cards, with sparkly/crystal-like effects. It is very much like the Terastallizing effect present in Gen 9 games.

In your typical Reverse Holo Cards, you get the holo detail only on the body of the card, while the framed picture always remains untouched. As you can see in the image below, the holo effect covers the entirety of the cards.

Shiny Pikachu and Shiny Trainer cards will have the new Reverse Holo effect.

Pokemon TCG Shiny Treasure ex features Meowscarada Ex

The star of Pokemon TCG Shiny Treasure ex will be the new shiny Meowscarada ex secret rare card, which will probably be the most sought-after card in the collection.

Here’s the design pattern for the Meowscarada ex secret card, which includes a prismatic layer that makes it super extra shiny.

Shiny Meowscarada Ex
The Shiny Meowscarada Ex card comes with a prismatic design typical of shiny Pokemon special cards.

Shiny Meowscarada Ex has the same abilities as Meowscarada Ex:

  • Ability – Bouquet Magic: You must discard a Basic (Grass) Energy card from your hand in order to use this Ability. Once during your turn, you may put 3 damage counters on 1 of your opponent’s Benched Pokemon.
  • Scratching Nails: If your opponent’s Active Pokemon already has any damage counters on it, this attack does 120 more damage.
