Fans of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet have an improved version of the game thanks to the December 1, 2022, patch that offers fixes to several aspects of the gameplay. Also, Ranked Season 1 starts, and we have the full patch notes for the 1.1.0 update.

Despite only being out for a few weeks, Pokemon fans have been getting royally stuck into Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and seeing everything that Game Freak’s newest game has to offer.

From tense Tera Raid battles and events offering fabulous rewards to assembling a fearsome group capable of taking down the Elite Four and becoming a Pokemon Champion of Paldea, there is plenty to do in Scarlet & Violet.

One aspect of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet that simply can’t be overlooked though is the unavoidable visual headaches caused by the low framerate, constant pop-in, and endless list of visual glitches.

It does seem like Nintendo and Game Freak are trying to fix this and the new December 1 patch improves certain aspects of the game.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet 1.1.0 update Performance enhancements & Ranked Season 1

The first notable difference following the update to Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is that “select bug fixes” have been targeted and, presumably, removed.

Amongst the handful of changes, it doesn’t say anywhere specifically that the framerate or any of the major technical issues have been fixed, but that Game Freak and Nintendo are “working on improvements to the games.”

As well as addressing performance problems, the more competitive Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players will be pleased to know that the Ranked aspect of the game is now in full swing.

The update has introduced Season 1 of Ranked Battles and players can now go head-to-head in the Battle Stadium, with more details revealed inside Scarlet & Violet.
