After a month marked by important changes followed by controversy, Pokemon Go is ready to tackle May with new content. Game developer Niantic revealed what’s coming next to the popular mobile game, including important debuts alongside highly requested returns.

While Pokemon fans prepare for the last month of the Rising Heroes season, here’s everything you can expect from the May content update.

Everything coming to Pokemon Go with May content update

Pokemon Go revealed all of the remaining 5-Star Raids for this season. After Tapu Bulu, currently headlining, Genesect, Tapu Fini, and Regigigas will follow.

This marks the first time players will be able to encounter shiny Tapu Fini, so it’ll be featured in Raids for two weeks. Regigigas, on the other hand, will be available for catching for the first time since 2021.

In the Mega Raids department, Mega Scizor will follow the current boss, Mega Slowbro, on May 2. Mega Pinsir will debut in Pokemon Go on May 11 and will headline Mega Raids for two weeks. Mega Altaria will then close the Rising Heroes season afterward.

Pokemon Go players can also expect many in-game events during May, including ‘An Instinctive Hero’ and ‘A Valorous Hero’. These are expected to follow the same formula as ‘A Mystic Hero‘ did recently, with Team Leaders asking players to complete Research tasks to catch a costumed Pokemon.

Apart from a new Regidrago Elite Raid and May’s Community Day, players can also expect Raid Day and a new special event to close up the Rising Heroes Season with a bang. We’ll share information on all upcoming events once available. In the meantime, don’t forget to check the Raid schedule and the Spotlight Hour schedule to stay up to date.
