Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror 2022: Dates, Wrath of the Bride mode, skins, more
Halloween is almost here, and Blizzard are celebrating by bringing back the Junkenstein’s Revenge event, this time called Halloween Terror. Here’s everything we know about the event so far, including the start date.
It’s the time of year when almost all of the major live service games drop their Halloween events, such as Fortnite’s Fortnitemares, GTA’s Judgement Day, and Apex’s Fight or Fright. Of course, Overwatch 2 will be joining in on the fun.
The classic Junkenstein’s Revenge event returns in October 2022, this time called Halloween Terror.

Overwatch 2 Wrath of the Bride Halloween event start & end date
Players in Overwatch 2’s Halloween Terror event will be returning to Adlersbrunn from October 25 until November 9, as revealed by the Season 1 Battle Pass trailer.
This two-week event will go right through Halloween, and Season 2 is set to arrive only a month after it concludes.
Overwatch 2 Wrath of the Bride event game mode & map
Blizzard have explained Overwatch 2’s Halloween LTM, Junkenstein’s Revenge, and it will be a new mode, only for the duration of the event, that will feature co-op action!
Not only this, but the OG Junkenstein’s Revenge co-op Brawl is back – with an appearance from Dr. Junkenstein himself.
PVE arrives in Overwatch 2 in 2023, and Junkenstein’s Revenge is set to be a taste of what’s to come. The original mode had four heroes taking on waves of Omnic zombies, but we’ll need to wait and see what Blizzard have cooked up for Overwatch 2.
The Battle Pass trailer also teased that Sombra will be the titular bride of the event, so she may be one of the bosses players will battle.
As for the map, it appears Overwatch players might be fighting in Aldersbrunn again with its spooky medieval castle setting, but it could be overhauled from when it last appeared in Overwatch.
Overwatch 2 Wrath of the Bride Halloween event skins & rewards
As revealed through Blizzard’s promotional images of Overwatch 2’s Wrath of the Bride, we can see that new heroes Kiriko, Sojourn, and Junker Queen are receiving new skins in the Halloween event.
We can see Kiriko will be getting a witch skin, Junker Queen will receive what looks like a Mad Max executioner-style outfit, and Soujourn gets a noir detective outfit. There might be even more skins for the rest of the roster, but Blizzard haven’t revealed them yet.
How these skins will be unlocked is still to be revealed as well. They could either be bought through the store or unlocked through an event-specific Battle Pass — we’ll have to wait and see.
As well as all this, Blizzard have said that players can also earn the following: “Nightfall Over Adlersbrunn Name Card, the Jack-o’-Lantern Weapon Charm, Battle Pass XP, and other spine-tingling rewards.”
Finally, players with Battle.net and Twitch account linked can grab even more goodies by tuning in to watch Overwatch 2 streamers.
Between October 25 through November 1 at 11:00 AM PDT, rack up 2 hours or more of time watched to claim Werewolf Winston Spray, or get to 4 hours watched to receive a Werewolf Winston Legendary Skin.
Overwatch 2 Wrath of the Bride Double XP
Yes, you read that correctly. To celebrate the event, even more, Blizzard will be making the occasion extra special with Double Match XP from October 28-31.
So make sure you take advantage of this to get your Battle Pass leveled up quicker.
