Leaks and rumors suggested that Overwatch 2 would have a crossover with McDonald’s, and now the popular fast food restaurant has confirmed it.

Overwatch 2 has officially landed, giving players the highly anticipated sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s popular hero shooter.

While players continue to get to grips with all the new changes and heroes, including Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko, they can also now level up the first-ever Overwatch Battle Pass in Season 1 of the new installment for the franchise.

The now free-to-play game brings a heap of cosmetics and rewards for players each season, and like many other live-service games, it seems Overwatch 2 will also be bringing collaborations as well.

In fact, leaks and rumors are suggesting that an Overwatch 2 x McDonald’s collaboration is in the works, so let’s get into the details.

Overwatch 2 x McDonald’s crossover

McDonald’s Australia‘s Twitter account may have revealed the Overwatch 2 colab early through a tweet made on October 10, 2022.

The tweet featured an image of Overwatch 2’s logo, along with the caption “coming soon.” In fact, this collaboration had been rumored by McDonald’s employees back in September, as they revealed that kiosks in stores had Overwatch 2 listed within the menu options.

It’s unclear what exactly the collaboration will entail, but the fact that Overwatch 2 was appearing on the McDonald’s menu terminal in-store suggests we could see an Overwatch 2 meal.

However, nothing has been confirmed, so take this with a pinch of salt, as we could see officially Overwatch 2 x McDonald’s skins in-game instead. This is what some players believe, as they have noticed that one of Junker Queen’s cosmetics is only available through a “regional promotion” that starts in November.

This would make sense as to why it’s Australia’s McDonald’s who has tweeted about the crossover, as Junker Queen is a new Overwatch 2 hero who originates from Australia.

We’ll have to wait for more official announcements to conclude what the Overwatch 2 x McDonald’s collab will actually bring, so stay tuned as we’ll update this piece as new information is available.
