NVIDIA has announced that DLSS features will be implemented into Call of Duty Warzone.

NVIDIA’s DLSS technology has helped gamers who own RTX graphics cards see much higher FPS (frames per second) while gaming than was previously possible. Games like Cyberpunk 2077 can see up to a 60% performance boost with the technology, making it a must-use for any gamer on a high refresh rate monitor.

For users who struggle to hit 60 FPS, this might also be your lucky break if you’re on an NVIDIA RTX graphics card. In areas of Verdansk where you see lower FPS, this setting should help you drastically, especially in the Downtown area.

If you’re aiming to hit maximum FPS values on a high refresh monitor, DLSS is also your best bet. You’ll see significant FPS increases in-game, which will make playing much smoother. If the DLSS implementation is similar to Modern Warfare, the best option to select will be the “performance” option.

What is DLSS?

According to NVIDIA’s website “Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) is an NVIDIA RTX technology that uses the power of AI to boost your frame rates in games with graphically-intensive workloads. With DLSS, gamers can use higher resolutions and settings while still maintaining solid framerates.”

Is this only for high resolutions?

No. You’ll see great improvements at 1440p and 4k resolution, but this also helps with high settings on 1080p. Many gamers opt to drop their graphics settings on a high-end graphics card to minimal, thinking the frame return will be huge. Instead, these players experience a much more watered down visual game experience when they could be playing on higher settings.

When DLSS drops, we recommend playing around with your game settings, so you can achieve good visuals with high refresh rates, which is what the technology is meant to be used for.

Beenox Comments

According to Executive Producer Eric Lavoie, “We (Beenox) were excited to bring NVIDIA DLSS to Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War this year. It was a great addition for our players to increase their game performance on PC and we look forward to bringing this to Warzone.”

We are currently unsure of the release date of this feature but will update when we hear more.
