Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff suggested that Respawn Entertainment should allow users to have up to three preset Legend picks in case a player is AFK or forgets to pick one.

Still relatively new to the Apex Legends scene after taking a break from Call of Duty: Warzone, NICKMERCS believes there are ways that the Apex experience can be improved.

After finding himself conversing with random players ahead of a Ranked Match, Nick forgot to select his desired Legend for the match, resulting in him essentially playing the match blind.

“Apex listen to me man, I know I’m new, I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I think we need to make some changes. One of the changes we need to make is you guys need to have a way that I can preset three champions that I like,” said Nick.

On his More NICKMERCS channel, he discussed how a momentary lapse in concentration basically caused him to forget to select the legend he wanted.

He explained that: “That’s what happened in this one game, it was an abomination, horrible.” We saw in the first minute of the video that Nick was having fun getting acquainted with his one-time teammates, and in doing so forgot to pick a different character as someone else on his team had already selected Seer.

Instead, the time ran out, and Apex Legends automatically selected Horizon for Nick to use in the upcoming Ranked Match.

His reaction was worth a thousand words as the popular YouTuber was horrified when he realized what had happened.

You can argue that players should be paying attention and ready to select a character when prompted, but at the same time, a group of preset Legends would alleviate an issue that is surely encountered by more players than just Nick.
