Popular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has made it clear that he isn’t quitting Apex Legends for Warzone 2.0 as the new Call of Duty title “doesn’t show promise.”

After a long wait, Warzone 2 is almost upon us, and Call of Duty players are eagerly awaiting its November 16 release date so that they can try out all the new features in the game, including a new backpack system and the DMZ mode.

NICKMERCS spent a lot of time in the first Warzone before eventually moving on to Respawn’s Apex Legends. Now, the streaming star has made it clear that Warzone 2 hasn’t won him over yet.

Someone asked in a recent stream if NICKMERCS misses his Call of Duty days. He responded: “I was in a weird place where I really wanted to continue competing but I felt like I couldn’t because the game was just so bad. There were so many hackers.”

He made it clear that he’s not looking forward to diving into Warzone 2 because hackers are still a serious problem and the battle royale “does not show promise.”

NICKMERCS got to try out Warzone 2.0 at the Call of Duty Next event, and while he praised features like the Al Mazrah map, he was concerned about a few “really weird” things ruining the game, such as the split circle mechanics.

The FaZe Clan star previously claimed that Apex Legends has a more promising future than Warzone, and it seems that none of the new information about the game in the Season 1 roadmap has changed his mind.

However, he explained that this could change: “I wanna be playing games competitively. Call of Duty didn’t really have that for me, and I don’t know if it will have that in the close future, but it might.”

He also hinted that a time may come when he moves from Apex Legends, but he doesn’t feel that will be anytime soon. He’ll definitely try Warzone 2.0, and it remains to be seen if the game will change his mind.
