Nickmercs Warzone Dark Matter Hack

The hacking issue in Call of Duty: Warzone is considered to be at an all-time high ahead of the Season 4 Reloaded update, with popular content creator NICKMERCS getting targeted by a cheater that resulted in his account being raised to level 1,000 and having Dark Matter unlocked.

Hacking has been one of the biggest issues with Call of Duty: Warzone following its release in 2020, with various kinds of cheats and hacks being used to gain an advantage over other players.

One of the most unusual hacks that is now plaguing the Call of Duty battle royale causes players to have their accounts raised to level 1,000 and have Dark Matter camo unlocked in an instant against their will.

This form of hacking was thrust into the spotlight to a large degree on July 12, 2021, when popular content creator NICKMERCS fell victim to it when streaming on Twitch.

While playing Warzone on July 12, NICKMERCS appeared to have eliminated a hacker from a match he was playing, leading to his account suddenly being raised to level 1,000 and Dark Matter camo being unlocked for all of his Black Ops Cold War weapons.

In addition to these things happening, NICKMERCS also had various calling cards, and emblems unlocked instantly.

One of the most frustrating things about this Level 1,000 and Dark Matter unlock hack is it is currently unclear whether or not players who have been affected by this could have their accounts banned even though they were not the ones causing the hack to occur.

With no official word from Activision in recent months regarding hacking and cheating, the community is currently in the dark regarding the possibility that being the victim of this kind of hack could cause their accounts to be banned or if they will be safe, considering they were unwilling recipients of the rewards this hack gave their accounts.

It remains to be seen what Activision and Raven Software will do regarding this hack, but we will update this article with any further information if it is made available.
