Apex Legends has a better future than Call of Duty: Warzone according to popular streamer NICKMERCS who thinks “Warzone really messed up.”

It’s no secret that after a successful Fortnite stint, NICKMERCS moved on to new pastures with the arrival of CoD Warzone. Activision’s second foray into battle royale brought a free-to-play experience that rocked the world with the fictional city of Verdansk.

Nick spent a ton of time in the game until he became frustrated with cheaters. He found new enjoyment by dropping into Respawn’s Apex Legends before finally converting full-time.

The streamer has checked in with Warzone from time to time and was most notably at the Call of Duty Next event in which he got to sample Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. However, despite this, he believes that Apex has the edge for him moving forward.

In a recent video titled ‘Warzone really messed up’, NICKMERCS was checking out the brand new Broken Moon map and was full of praise for the new Season 15 map and game in general: “I think that Apex has consistently shown that they’re constantly trying to go in a good direction, they’re making good changes.

Nick said he “saw a lot of really good things” about Apex and its future, but he wasn’t as kind to its rival shooter though.

“Warzone’s been horrible for years to no avail. Horrible. And the future is not looking bright, I mean you could think about the game coming out, I mean, it looks really bad. It looks like they don’t know what they’re doing. Hey, if it comes out and it’s great then I’m wrong but, it doesn’t look great.”

Nick went on to say that he thinks Respawn are giving players what they’re asking for and they’re essentially trying to make the best BR game possible.

There has definitely been a mixture of thoughts regarding Warzone 2 and its new Al Mazrah map, as well as reinvented mechanics such as having three circles now.

We guess we’ll have to wait and see what the official reception is to Warzone 2 when it launches on November 16, 2022.
