New Warzone glitch marks players out of bounds permanently

Warzone now has a new glitch that is marking players as out of bounds permanently, but not ever killing them.

Another day, another Warzone bug. Season 2’s launch for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone has been a bit shaky on the bug front, with massive issues on the Rebirth Island map resulting in players being invincible or even winning games without even playing.

Now, for the Verdansk map (and perhaps even Rebirth Island), there appears to be a bug that marks players as out of bounds indefinitely. Normally, when a player goes to the edges of the map, they get 5 seconds to go back into the regular playspace before their character is killed.

In Warzone, this is a necessary mechanic, ensuring players don’t go out of the playable space and gaining an unfair advantage against other players. When you enter the out-of-bounds area, a bright red screen with a countdown in the middle appears with a rather loud and annoying sound, signaling the player to leave of face consequences.

Unfortunately, according to a Reddit post by user “yo_quick_question,” it appears that this screen can persist even while in bounds, resulting in a frustrating game experience.

In the video above, you can see the player is stuck in the out-of-bounds notification, with “Return to the Combat Area” on his screen. The countdown is stuck on 0 and refuses to kill their player, leading to a very annoying screen and sound stuck for the remainder of the game.

The poster dubbed this “migraine mode” and after just a few seconds of listening, we can agree. Currently, we’re unaware of a fix, but this bug doesn’t appear widespread. We can only hope it’s quite rare and won’t happen to other players.
