New Warzone 2 attachment makes Vaznev “unbeatable” at close range

The Vaznev-9K has emerged as a top-tier SMG in Warzone 2 Season 2, and CoD expert Metaphor has revealed the new attachment that makes it even more overpowered in close-range fights.

The Warzone 2 Season 2 update drastically shifted the meta on Al Mazrah, thanks to the new weapons introduced as well as balancing changes to the existing roster. The close-range meta saw the biggest overhaul, as a nerf to the dominant Fennec 45 blew the SMG category wide open.

Since the new season started, the Vaznev-9K has become one of the go-to weapons in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play thanks to its impressive fire rate and movement.

Now, Warzone 2 expert Metaphor has discovered that a new attachment makes the Vaznev a monster in close-quarters fights.

The attachment in question is the Broadside FCT stock, which was added alongside the KV Broadside Shotgun in Season 2. This new stock drastically improves the SMG’s ADS and general movement speed, while also buffing the aiming stability to keep some of the recoil in check.

Metaphor claimed that the Broadside FCT is an “insane” stock that is popular in MW2 Ranked Play Vaznev loadouts, and he recommended that Warzone 2 players give it a try as well, recommending a loadout for it.

Metaphor’s best Vaznev-9K loadout in Warzone 2

Muzzle: Lockshot KT85
Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
Stock: Broadside FCT
Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip
Magazine: 45 Round Mag

Metaphor began his Vaznev-9K loadout with the Lockshot KT85, improving the SMG’s horizontal and vertical recoil control to make it more viable at mid-range. He paired this with the FSS Sharkfin 90 for better aiming idle stability.

Next was the all-important Broadside FCT stock, offering a ton of mobility bonuses as well as improved accuracy. Then, he added the True-Tac Grip for a faster ADS and sprint to fire speed, allowing you to land those crucial early shots as fast as possible.

Lastly, the expert picked 45 Round Mags for the extra ammo capacity per clip, ensuring that you can deal with multiple enemies before reloading.

The Vaznev has dominated Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play so far in Season 2, and with this build, it looks set to take over Al Mazrah as well, as Metaphor says that “it has pretty decent range [but] it’s unbeatable up close.”
