New Fortnite leak reveals first in-game look at Mandalorian’s pickaxe
Some new leaks have emerged which have given us a first look brand new pickaxe that Epic Games are planning to add to The Mandalorian cosmetics set in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5.
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 has a plethora of fun content, including crossovers with other franchises such as Halo and God of War. There are also Star Wars-themed additions, with The Mandalorian taking center stage in the Season 5 Battle Pass.
The titular protagonist was the first reward for players at level 1 in the latest Battle Pass. You could also do challenges that involved finding pieces of his Beskar armor, and his ship called The Razor Crest. There was also a Grogu (Baby Yoda) back bling.
It seems that Epic Games has more Star Wars content planned, as a Fortnite leak has revealed a new addition to the Mandalorian cosmetics set in the form of a pickaxe.

This information comes from the Fortnite leaker @TwitchTilted who posted a video clip of them using the pickaxe during a match. It doesn’t function differently from the others in the Battle Royale as you just use it for destroying structures and collecting materials.

The reason that this is exciting news is because the addition of this item means the completion of The Mandalorian cosmetics set. So far this bounty hunter hasn’t had his own Star Wars-themed pickaxe in Season 5.
We’re not sure if this item will actually appear in the game, and the leaker stated that it’s possible that it’s just a placeholder for The Mandalorian’s Sniper Rifle. There are also rumors that a new Fortnite pickaxe will be added which is based on the Beskar Spear or Darksaber.
“This would have been a good secondary back bling for the Mandalorian, they should’ve made the Beskar Spear his pickaxe, missed opportunity,” said one player on Reddit. Another fan added: “I like it but the Beskar Spear would have been way cooler.”
A recent leak suggested that Epic Games are planning to add The Mandalorian’s Amban Sniper Rifle to Fortnite Season 5, along with some changes to the Razor Crest crash site POI on the map. This would bring the focus of the Season back to the Star Wars theme.
So far none of these have been confirmed by the developers themselves, so take this information with a grain of salt. That said, we hope that The Mandalorian does get his own pickaxe, and we’ll be sure to update you if he does.
