With Season 5 on the way, the developers have confirmed that the next classic round-based Zombies map is in development.

Season 5 for Black Ops Cold War has unfortunately been delayed. However, when it drops, players are promised an abundance of content in the patch notes.

As well as a load of new content for Zombies, including new perks and content for the Outbreak mode, the developers have also confirmed the development of the next classic round-based map for Black Ops Cold War.

As many Zombies fans will tell you, the mode doesn’t get better than the classic round-based maps, which bring exciting gameplay and easter eggs that have become the staple of all round-based maps.

Luckily, Season 4 brought Mauer Der Toten, the latest round-based Zombies map that fans seem to be very happy with, extending the Dark Aether storyline.

With the Season 5 blog released by Call of Duty, fans were given a glimpse at what to expect from Season 5 and beyond.

Here’s what the developers had to say:

“As we continue development on our next round-based Zombies map in Black Ops Cold War, get ready for new content to enjoy in every pillar of the Zombies experience in Season Five,” Treyarch Studios stated in the Black Ops Cold War Season 5 update patch notes.

So there you have it, the new round-based Zombies map is in development and will likely be dropping in Season 6 of Black Ops Cold War.

With the overall positive reception that Mauer der Toten had in Season 4 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, there is no doubt that plenty of players will be more than excited to experience everything the next round-based map for Zombies has to offer in the future.
