The June 3 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare looks to have introduced some major issues with the game, as players have been voicing their frustrations over the Modern Warfare Multiplayer not working at all for them.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare saw a great deal of success following its 2019 release that ultimately led to the release of Warzone and the use of Modern Warfare’s fan-favorite engine for the Call of Duty Battle royale.

While Warzone and Black Ops Cold War are the main focuses of the franchise right now, Modern Warfare still maintained a healthy and passionate playerbase who enjoyed the game’s Multiplayer action.

However, the community has been reporting over the past day that the Modern Warfare Multiplayer lobbies are not working for them at all, as they are unable to join or play a multitude of modes.

The official Activision Support Twitter account has since posted an announcement on June 4, 2021, that the developers have “resolved an issue” that affected the ability of many players to join Multiplayer games and private matches.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare subreddit has been the main area where players have gathered to discuss and provide examples of their experiences with the Modern Warfare Multiplayer not working.

Players have reported that they have been unable to join any match, with many facing an Unknown Function error when trying.

Other players have posted threads stating that they can not currently use the Private Match feature and how they can join a lobby, but then they are kicked from the lobby when the countdown ends and are placed into another lobby where the same things happen.

There has been no official word from Infinity Ward, the developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, or Activision regarding the problems that players are currently having with the game at this time.

We will update this piece with any official information from Infinity Ward or Activision if and when it is made available.
