Dome coming to CoD Mobile

Call of Duty: Mobile is set to further bolster its collection of classic maps, with Dome from Modern Warfare 3 arriving in Season 4.

CoD Mobile is an excellent hub for all things Call of Duty, with weapons, Operators, and maps from almost every game making their way to the mobile version. The last couple of CoD Mobile seasons have brought across content from Modern Warfare (2019), but now we’re set to receive a map from a classic Modern Warfare game.

Modern Warfare Remastered and Modern Warfare 2019 brought back maps from the original Modern Warfare trilogy, but a fan favorite has been left untouched since MW3. Dome, which was a popular map across all modes, is confirmed to be arriving in CoD Mobile Season 4.

Dome Modern Warfare 3

Dome is a small-medium size map with plenty of areas for close-range combat. It features a building interior with narrow corridors, and an underground bunker to go round the edge. The centerpiece of the map, the dome, looms over the chaos below providing an advantageous, although risky, sniping spot.

On CoD Mobile’s May 14 Community Update, developers shared an image of the upcoming map. The titular dome structure is now even more wartorn, and the sunny, daytime setting has been swapped for gloomy dusk.

Other than these aesthetic changes, we expect Dome to remain as fast-paced and chaotic as it was back in 2011.

CoD Mobile Season 4 is set to begin on May 27, and will also be bringing major weapon balance changes, with the AS VAL and NA-45 being significantly hit. We’ll also see the Clan Wars feature added, as well as a new battle royale class and a potential new perk.

Ahead of Season 4, Warzone, Cold War, and CoD Mobile will also receive the ’80s Action Heroes’ event on May 20. Aside from teasing John McClane and Rambo as Operators, Activision is so far keeping their cards close to their chest in the lead up to the event.
