Modern Warfare 2 leakers have revealed the two potential fan-favorite maps from previous titles that could be arriving in Season 1.

Modern Warfare 2 is breaking records and reaching new heights in popularity after Activision revealed that the game has become the best-selling Call of Duty game of all time, surpassing Black Ops 2’s record set in 2012.

The game has managed to reach these new heights without even dropping its first season of content and Warzone 2, which both arrive on November 16.

Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 will bring new multiplayer maps, and leakers believe they have discovered the “fan favorite” maps that the devs claim will be arriving in the update. According to recent leaks, the two maps arriving in Modern Warfare 2 could be Shoot House and Shipment, which were both in MW2019.

While Shoot House is an original map from MW2019, Shipment has returned many times in Call of Duty since its introduction in the original Modern Warfare (2007).

If these are the “fan-favorite” maps arriving in Season 1, it seems not everyone is happy about their return, with comments under the CharlieIntel post saying:

“When was the last time CoD brought out a NEW map that was good enough to be brought back in years to come. Literally just bringing out awful, unmemorable maps and then relying on bringing back the same old maps like shipment to save the game.”

Nothing is confirmed as of yet, and as soon as we have official information regarding the new Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 multiplayer maps, we’ll make sure to update, so take this with a pinch of salt.

That said, it’s confirmed that a lot of classic Call of Duty maps will be on Warzone 2’s map. For more on the new Warzone map, check out our Al Mazrah POI guide.
