Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 brought a fresh new Battle Pass to the game, but players are convinced that the progression is much slower.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 is finally here, and as players get to battle it out on classic map Dome and test out the new weapons, they’ll be progressing through ranks and leveling up the Battle Pass.

The Season 2 Battle Pass offers a lot of new content for players, especially those who purchase the premium version. Rewards range from Douxble XP Tokens to new weapons and Operator Ronin.

When a new season lands, players often try to grind as much as possible to complete the Battle Pass or at least unlock their desired items as fast as possible. Unfortunately, players have been unhappy with the Battle Pass in Season 2, with many in the community claiming that progression is much slower.

Reddit user Playstayshawn posted their opinions in the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit, claiming that the devs have “slowed down Battle Pass progression by 50%.”

They aren’t the only one who feels like this either, as comments under the post also said, “regular multiplayer barely advances the battle pass,” and another claimed that while “DMZ feels like you level up super quick…Multiplayer definitely feels worse.”

Further, another Reddit user posted similar opinions, asking “WTF is this battle pass progression?” In the post, the user stated that they “played for 45 mins,” and only “unlocked 1 [Battle Pass Token] in Hardcore.”

They then calculated that “at that rate it will take [them] 63.75 hours of play time to unlock the rest of the BP…with only 53 days left.”

The comments are filled with players who have similar opinions, with one saying “same… I have 5 tokens so far. Feels like I should have 15-20.”

It’s unclear whether the devs actually changed the progression speed for the Battle Pass in Season 2, but players clearly feel as if they did.
