Before Modern Warfare 2 arrived, players could access the game’s full arsenal of weapons but some didn’t make it to the full launch. According to popular leaker TheGhostofHope, these weapons arrive in Season 1.

For the first time ever, Modern Warfare 2 allowed Call of Duty players to jump into the campaign over a week ahead of launch. A glitch with the menus allowed them to find every weapon in the game but they were surprised to see that not every weapon found was actually there at launch.

The Chimera and M13B Assault Rifles weren’t available to unlock on October 28, neither was the BAS-P SMG. But, according to a known insider, these weapons are set to arrive alongside Warzone 2 and DMZ with November 16’s Season 1 update.

Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 1 weapons leaked

According to TheGhostofHope, the following weapons will arrive in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 as part of November 16’s Season 1 update:

  • Chimera (AAC Honey Badger)
  • M13B (SIG MCX)
  • BAS-P (SIG MPX)

These three weapons will reportedly arrive in their own weapon Platform, likely meaning that the Battle Pass will include one of these weapons, and then you’ll have to use it to unlock the other two.

Players also found the Victus XMR Sniper Rifle in the campaign’s early access but it didn’t arrive at launch either. While not included in this Platform, Hope said that “this doesn’t mean we won’t also have other weapons included that aren’t part of a weapon platform.” So, it’s possible the Sniper Rifle will arrive in Season 1 as well, perhaps in December’s Reloaded update.

While it’s fair to imagine that these weapons will hit Modern Warfare 2 at some point in the future, the Season 1 roadmap hasn’t fully been unveiled yet, so there’s still no guarantee that these will arrive on November 16.
