It appears Warzone 2’s DMZ mode might have a Tarkov-like Hideout after leaked images line up with Modern Warfare 2’s Firing Range.

Modern Warfare 2 players have now been able to experience the campaign and its potential DMZ looting and crafting mechanics, but the campaign early access also allowed them to see the new Gunsmith and Firing Range.

Players who accessed the Firing Range through Modern Warfare 2’s menus before it was patched noticed that there was a fully stocked armory through the window. While some theorized that this would act as an Escape from Tarkov-like Hideout or stash for the DMZ mode, leaks make this all the more likely.

Tarkov’s Hideout acts like the home base for the player, an area that they can upgrade to store more items, craft, and get a steady stream of money. Plus, it even has a firing range attached, similar to the area in Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty dataminer ‘bob the network uk’ compared the Firing Range’s armory with DMZ and Warzone Mobile leaks. In this DMZ leak, it appears players can access the Lobby, Solider, and Weapons. But the background is actually the same area as the Firing Range’s armory, so with the area being used for DMZ as well, it could be similar to Tarkov’s Hideout.

Players have even managed to glitch inside the Firing Range’s armory, but there’s no guarantee this means that area is actually meant to be accessed at a later stage.

Of course, the Firing Range accessed through Modern Warfare 2’s campaign appears to be an early build, and the leaked screenshots are likely even older. It’s already been leaked that DMZ will feature a marketplace to trade items, but we’ll need to wait and see what Infinity Ward have in store for this extraction-based mode.
