Modern Warfare 2 expert reveals “number one” weapon after Season 3 update
Modern Warfare 2’s meta underwent changes with the arrival of the Season 3 update, and Call of Duty expert WhosImmortal has revealed the best weapon that players can use now.
When Season 3 finally went live in Modern Warfare 2, players were eager to check out all the meta changes that were the result of the introduction of the new FJX Imperium Intervention as well as weapon buffs and nerfs.
With the update well underway, the community is experimenting with different guns to see which ones are the best. Now, Modern Warfare 2 guru WhosImmortal has highlighted an Assault Rifle that’s great for both medium and close-range engagements.
When ranking the 10 best class setups that players can use in Season 3, the Modern Warfare 2 expert stated that the Kastov-74u Assault Rifle is the “number one gun” to try out in multiplayer.
WhosImmortal explained: “It’s good in mid-range. It’s really good in close range. It’s got the mobility of an SMG but the power of a Rifle. It’s the best of all worlds.” He then revealed the attachments to create the best Kastov-74u loadout in Modern Warfare 2.
WhosImmortal’s Modern Warfare 2 Kastov-74u loadout
- Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp
- Barrel: BR209 Barrel
- Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
- Stock: Markeev R7 Stock
- Magazine: True-Tac Grip
This Kastov-74u loadout starts by using the Markeev R7 Stock, BR209 Barrel, and True-Tac Grip to improve the weapon’s mobility by buffing the ADS, movement, sprint, crouch movement, and sprint-to-fire speeds.
The FSS OLE-V Laser provides a further boost to the ADS speed while also improving the Assault Rifle’s aiming stability. Finally, the FTAC Castle Comp muzzle brings the recoil under control so you can accurately land your shots.
This loadout massively improves how mobile the Kastov-74u Assault Rifle can be. WhosImmortal stated: “This thing is going to fly. It’s going to fry in every single sense of that phrase.”
