Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom received its first post-launch update to fix a bug that messed with some players’ journey through Hyrule, so here are the patch notes for update 1.1.1.

Just a week after its release, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom got its first post-launch update. While it’s not a major update that brings new features, it does bring a very requested bug fix for a broken quest.

Fans have been exploring the new map of Hyrule through its many shrines, quests, and new areas. As expected, many are sharing their experiences with Link’s newfound abilities, but players were surprised by how smoothly TOTK was working considering the scale of the adventure.

However, Some did experience issues, and that’s why there’s a new patch available for download. Here are the patch notes for version 1.1.1 of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Here are the full Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom update 1.1.1 patch notes:

  • Fixed issue where, sometimes, the player could not clear main quest “The Closed Door,” even if they fulfilled the conditions to advance the quest.
    • If you have already encountered this issue, you will be able to clear the quest by downloading this update data.
  • Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

As you can see, the main focus of this patch was to address issues with a specific quest in the game. It’s unknown what “several issues” have been addressed, but players welcomed the update with open arms.

That’s all for the TOTK 1.1.1 patch notes, but we’ll keep you posted if a new update arrives.
