Tom Henderson has reportedly heard feedback about Battlefield 2042’s stunning, new tornadoes, and it’s not good news as the interactive weather could be lacking in longevity.

One of the problems with a game being marketed on a cool new gimmick is the risk of it not succeeding. Battlefield 2042 looks to a big return towards classic BF gameplay, with large-scale battles and stunning set-pieces.

EA’s trailers and gameplay footage for Battlefield 2042 have shown off the ming-boggling new tornadoes that are set to play havoc with online games. However, leaker Tom Henderson, who has already successfully leaked campaign and robot dog news, has gotten word that tornadoes aren’t as fun as they appear.

Tom is always providing updates on Battlefield 2042 and trying to updates his fans, and Battlefield fans in general, with the latest gossip.

He Tweeted details on the tornadoes saying: “Early feedback of the tornadoes in #BATTLEFIELD2042 are essentially “they are fun and cool to see for the first few times, but they become very repetitive and ruin the classic BF experience and flow of the map.”

Tornadoes are a big part of Battlefield’s shift in the last few years towards “Levolution” and the process of dynamic events shape-shifting maps into something completely different.

One commenter added: “It’s randomized, but that doesn’t stop it from being repetitive. It’s the same as Levolution back in BF4: Cool to look at a few times, but ultimately a gimmick that’s only good for marketing.”

To counteract this, some users suggested that Battlefield 2042 should have different playlists options that will eliminate the possibility of tornadoes altogether.
