Leak reveals Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 2 key details & return of classic map
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 leaks have revealed a first look at what players can expect from Season 2 content.
Call of Duty fans continue to enjoy everything Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have to offer throughout Season 1. Players received three new weapons, the Shoot House map, and of course, the launch of Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah in Season 1.
Season 1 Reloaded is fast approaching as the update is slated for December 14. Yet another weapon will make its way to Modern Warfare 2 alongside the classic Shipment map. Despite a ton of new content arriving mid-season, players continue to wonder what the next major update holds.
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 is expected to arrive on February 1, given that the Season 1 Battle Pass comes to a close on this date. The devs have remained tight-lipped about new additions arriving with Season 2, but thanks to leaked images, players got their first look at what to expect.
While Modern Warfare 2 players already received a samurai-themed Operator in Oni, it seems like Season 2 may share a similar theme. The Operator seen in the leaked image seems to be none other than Ronin from Modern Warfare 2019.
Ronin’s fearsome blade could take center stage for Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
Leaks suggest Castle map coming to Modern Warfare 2
If the Ronin Operator wasn’t a big enough indication of the new direction Season 2 will introduce, the map teased in the image above will do the trick. Players will recognize the classic World at War map Castle in the Season 2 key art above.
Castle could be making its way to Modern Warfare 2 if the leaks turn out to be true. The Castle map also appeared in Vanguard, so it’s certainly an interesting decision to have it make a return in back-to-back years.
We’ll have to wait and see if and how this Modern Warfare 2 version of Castle will differ from its predecessors. We’ll keep you up to date with all of the latest Season 2 news, including the eventual reveal of a roadmap.
