Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific includes guns from Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard. YouTuber JGOD has explained why it’s Cold War’s weapons you should carry in your loadout.

Warzone now offers players over 150 weapons to choose from, with every gun from the previous three Call of Duty games available in the battle royale. Vanguard’s are the latest to arrive, so players have been enjoying using these classic WW2 guns in Warzone.

However, Warzone meta expert JGOD has explained why it’s Black Ops Cold War’s weapons you should be using in Caldera and Rebirth Island in Season 1.

Bullet velocity is one of the most important stats when building a weapon in Warzone. The faster your bullets travel, the quicker your bullets hit the enemies and the less you need to lead your shots – making it much easier to hit moving targets.

JGOD said that Cold War’s weapons have the best bullet velocity of the bunch, which is what makes them much better than Vanguard’s.

He explained that when you build your weapons for long-range, “you want the bullet velocity to be anywhere between 1000 to maybe 1200.” But this is where Vanguard’s weapons struggle, as even though they have low recoil, their bullet velocity usually falls around 850-900 meters per second – except for LMGs such as the Bren and Type 11.

This makes them much more difficult to use than Cold War and Modern Warfare’s weapons at long range, so Vanguard weapons likely aren’t the meta picks.

Now that the hype around Vanguard’s weapons has died down, we’ve seen guns such as the AK-47, XM4, and Grau 5.56 re-enter the ten most popular weapons list, and this is likely because they’re so much more consistent and easy to use.

Raven Software are probably aware of the bullet velocity difference, and will be making adjustments to being Vanguard’s guns more in-line with the other weapons – perhaps in February’s Season 2 update.
