Is there a Wonder Weapon in Vanguard Zombies?
Wonder Weapons have always been a part of Call of Duty Zombies since its inception and Vanguard has had fans confused as to whether or not the game has one hidden somewhere. We’ll answer that question for you today.
Vanguard Zombies launched to a pretty lukewarm reception with fans citing an “embarrassing” lack of content and underdeveloped elements as a big part of this. We ourselves gave the Zombies launch content a 4/10 in our extensive Vanguard Zombies review.
It was missing a ton of features at launch that previous Call of Duty games had, most recently Black Ops Cold War.
But one of the biggest mysteries about Vanguard has been the question of Wonder Weapons. Luckily for Zombies fans, Vanguard Season 2 should put a smile on many faces.
Does Vanguard Zombies have a Wonder Weapon?
Following the Vanguard Season 2 update, Call of Duty: Vanguard has two Wonder Weapons at present.

It certainly took some time but Wonder Weapons are finally here. What’s more, the devs made up for the wait by delivering two Wonder Weapons. The first of the new inclusions is none other than the iconic Ray Gun.
However, Vanguard Zombies fans will be eager to test out the brand-new Decimator Shield. This mysterious shield is said to excel both offensively and defensively, as it offers “superior protection and the mighty Decimation Blast ability.”
Will Vanguard get more Wonder Weapons in future?
With Vanguard’s Season 2 update now live, it’s clear to see that the devs wish to provide more support for the Zombies game mode. Call of Duty devs have been incredibly transparent as of late, and that transparency has already led to more content as evidenced by Season 2.
More Wonder Weapons aren’t entirely out of the realm of possibility and new ones could be added in upcoming seasons. We might not always get two new Wonder Weapons per season as we have in Season 2 but it’s safe to expect some more with the release of the following seasons.
The Decimator Shield is a creative new addition to the list of existing weapons which bodes well for the inclusion of some never before seen Wonder Weapons.
