The Finals, an exciting new FPS from Embark Studios, is finally here, providing a unique experience. With the title fully released, if you’re wondering if The Finals is free-to-play, here’s what you need to know.

The Finals saw a surprise launch on December 7, following its announcement at The Game Awards 2023, much to the excitement of millions of fans worldwide. Open beta for The Finals was a massive success, with the game surpassing Apex Legends and Call of Duty on Steam.

While Apex Legends and Warzone‘s success can be largely attributed to their F2P model, if you’re looking to find out whether The Finals is also free-to-play on your platform, we’ve got the answer for you.

Is The Finals free to play?

Yes, The Finals is a free-to-play game on PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Embark launched their title on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S before the end of 2023, according to their plan.

You can play The Finals for free on these platforms, however, it does have in-game transactions for buying content like Battle Pass, skins, and more. This model is similar to most of the major F2P titles like Valorant and Rocket League.

As the game will follow the standard live service free-to-play format, we can also assume that there will be seasonal updates that provide both new content and balance changes.
