Hogwarts Legacy is an opportunity for Harry Potter fans to immerse themselves in the Wizarding World like never before. It allows players to live out their childhood dreams by attending classes and meeting popular characters from the books and films.

As you’d expect, the story also takes you to plenty of classic locations, but many will be wondering if the Chamber of Secrets can be found somewhere in the school.

We’ve put together a breakdown of everything you need to know about the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy.

Can you open the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy?

Bad news for Potterheads, the Chamber of Secrets does not feature in Hogwarts Legacy as an explorable area of the castle and cannot be opened. However, that doesn’t mean that the game is without references to the hidden vault.

Hogwarts Legacy players have discovered an Easter egg where the Basilisk, which guarded the chamber before Harry Potter defeated it with the Sword of Godric Gryffindor, roams the hallways near the Slytherin common room.

What’s more, the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets can actually be seen when exploring the school, even though it cannot be opened.

The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets can be found in the girls’ bathroom on the second floor of Hogwarts, just as it is in the source material. Traditionally, the sinks found in the middle of the bathroom can be opened by speaking Parseltongue, revealing a long tunnel into the vault.

Although you can’t open the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy, casting the Revelio charm will reveal a Field Guide Page that directly mentions the iconic location.

If you want to check out the entrance for yourself, here’s an easy guide on how to find it:

1. Travel to the Lower Grand Staircase Floo Flame.
2. Head down the stairs and turn right.
3. Go past the armored knight and down the hallway.
4. Turn right again into the girls’ toilets.
5. Approach the sink and use Revelio.

It’s worth keeping in mind that even though the Chamber of Secrets doesn’t feature in Hogwarts Legacy at the moment, it’s too early to rule out the possibility of being added in any of the rumored post-launch DLC.
