Insane Fortnite bug lets players craft weapons instantly

Fortnite’s crafting mechanic can leave you vulnerable to enemy attacks, but a new exploit has been discovered that allows you to craft your items almost instantly.

Crafting weapons is one of the new features that arrived in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6, and you can use it to make more advanced versions of your weapons through Primal and Mechanical upgrades. However, this will leave you exposed for a few seconds.

Since you won’t be able to defend yourself while you wait, enemies can swoop in and finish you off before you have a chance to react. Now, one Fortnite player has discovered a way to speed up the process of crafting.

Crafting in Fortnite

Reddit user Jedisiri21 posted a clip in the Fortnite Competitive subreddit, showcasing the bug that allows you to craft weapons far quicker than usual.

Here’s how you can get this done:

  1. Hop into a match of Fortnite and start auto-running
  2. Open the crafting menu and upgrading your weapon
  3. Canceling the crafting animation to use this exploit.

Once that’s done, you’ll be able to get your crafting done much faster, so you won’t be left exposed for too long. However, this bug might be more difficult to exploit than it sounds due to a few stipulations.

First, you’ll need to collect all the items required for the crafted weapon. Even if you have those, there’s no guarantee that the exploit will work, as the video shows a few instances where crafting still takes a few seconds.

We expect Epic Games to patch this bug up soon since it gives certain players an advantage over others. However, it seems that they haven’t noticed it yet, so be sure to try it out for yourself before they do.

We’ll keep you posted about any more Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6 news, and announcements that arrive.
