Infinity Ward have fixed an issue with the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 friends list that was keeping players from inviting their buddies to the game.

Having a team to watch your back in Warzone 2 can make things easier when hopping into the game, and the Call of Duty title comes with a Social menu that allows you to invite your friends to join you.

However, there were numerous reports across the community that the Warzone 2 Social menu was broken, preventing them from inviting their friends, and this caught the attention of the developers.

Warzone 2 players who attempted to invite their buddies through the Social menu would be automatically sent back to the main screen. On November 18, Infinity Ward confirmed that they had resolved this issue.

The developers tweeted: “We’ve just deployed a fix that makes the Social menu accessible across both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Please restart your game if you continue to experience issues.”

Before this fix was implemented, Warzone 2 players were getting around the problem by enabling both the voice chat and proximity chat options in the audio settings before inviting their friends to a channel.

Warzone 2’s crossplay capabilities make it possible for your friends across different platforms to join you in the game, and it can be extremely frustrating if you’re unable to invite them because of a glitch.

Hopefully, this fix will ensure that this will no longer be a problem. The Warzone 2 developers have been quick to respond to any major issues that have popped up in the game upon its launch, including a glitch instantly killing players without downing them.
