GTA 6 is still the number one, most-anticipated title in all of games for many people, and while we await our first official details, reputable leaker Tom Henderson believes that GTA 6 will be “inevitably delayed.”

Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 6 is probably already the most anticipated game in history, and this is only going to intensify with every minute detail announced.

The gargantuan leak back in September 2022 left the world in shock as nearly 100 individual leaked videos came to light pulling back the curtain slightly on the game’s secret development.

GTA 6 is completely inevitable, but according to renowned video game leaker Tom Henderson, not as inevitable as a sizable delay to the game that will keep hungry fans waiting even longer for their food.

Now operating the website and Twitter page Insider Gaming, Henderson’s leaks and knowledge continue to provide players with useful tidbits about many upcoming titles.

The leaker recently commented on the state of GTA 6 on January 23, 2023, talking about when the game is finally going to be revealed and how long it’ll be before we can expect to see it.

“Everyone keeps asking me when GTA 6 will be revealed and I don’t know. I’m going to assume, based on past reveals, a reveal trailer would be the last week of October 2023 or the first week of November 2023 before Take-Two’s Q2 2024 earnings call,” Henderson said in a tweet.

He also followed this up with a thread post saying: “A 2024 release will probably be given and then inevitably delayed until 2025.”

So, according to Henderson, it’s still going to be months until we get our first official look at GTA 6, possibly alongside a release date, and even then, he expects the game to be pushed back even further to accommodate the new generation of players.

Henderson’s comments suggest that Rockstar are happy to wait a bit longer for there to be more PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners to be able to buy the game. That is only speculative though, so we’ll just have to wait and see what Rockstar will actually do.
