How to unlock The Predator skin in Fortnite
A Predator skin will be arriving in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 soon, and we can piece together it’s expected release date from everything that has been leaked and teased so far.
Epic Games brought a ton of new content in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5. This includes crossovers in the form of skins based on The Mandalorian, Kratos, Master Chief, and others. Now it seems we might be getting the Predator next.
The alien hunter from the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger classic film has been teased in Season 5 before, and now its arrival to the battle royale seems imminent. Here’s everything we know so far about unlocking The Predator in Fortnite.
When will The Predator arrive in Fortnite?
The developers haven’t given us an exact date on which they expect to release The Predator skin in Fortnite, but recent developments make it seem that it will be within the next few weeks.
Fortnite’s new v15.20 update added the Predator’s ship to the map. You can find it when you visit Stealthy Stronghold, which means that the intergalactic hunter is already hiding somewhere on the island.
Season 5 will conclude on March 16, 2021, so we’ll surely see The Predator arrive before then. This means that we can expect to see the new skin arrive in either late January or early February.
How to unlock the Predator skin in Fortnite
If you’ve purchased the Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass then you will be able to spot a new Mystery Rewards section. The new skin will probably be shown here since there are already three Predator-related rewards on display.
The current batch of Predator related items includes a banner icon, an icon, and graffiti. You will need to complete Jungle Hunter Quests if you want to unlock these for yourself. Six more Mystery Rewards have yet to be identified.
The Predator will also act as a new NPC that you can encounter on the map. Much like The Mandalorian, you’ll have to battle this notorious hunter as it tries to take you down as a bounty.
A few leaks have also emerged which suggests that the Predator skin will have two different variations: Mask On and Mask Off. This is a cool addition as the creature’s horrifying face is every bit as iconic as its high-tech helmet.
