How to unlock the CARV.2 in Warzone & Cold War Season 3
Black Ops Cold War and Warzone’s new Tactical Rifle, the CARV.2, commonly referred to as the G11, has finally arrived. Here’s everything you need to do to unlock it across CoD multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies.
As with all new seasons of Call of Duty, there are new weapons to unlock and level up. Cold War and Warzone Seasons 2 and 3 have been particularly generous, offering players six new weapons in both seasons.
For Season 3, we’ve already received the Swiss K31, PPSH, and Ballistic Knife, but there are three new weapons on the way. Most exciting is a redesign of the original Black Ops’ burst-fire G11, now called the CARV.2, which has finally arrived in Cold War and Warzone.
Here’s how you can unlock the CARV.2 in Warzone and Cold War, as well as some top tips to get your hands on it quickly.
How to unlock the CARV.2 in Warzone and Cold War
The CARV.2 Tactical Rifle has now released in Warzone and Cold War Season 3, where players can either unlock it through in-game challenges or by purchasing a Blueprint through the store.
Season 2’s weapons, such as the ZRG 20mm Sniper Rifle and the R1 Shadowhunter are unlocked through challenges, and Season 3’s CARV.2 follows suit.
Here’s how to unlock the CARV.2 Tactical Rifle:
- Multiplayer / Warzone: Using Tactical Rifles, rapidly kill 2 or more players in 10 different completed matches.
- Zombies: Using Tactical Rifles, get 250 Longshot kills.
No matter the mode, completing the challenge to unlock the CARV.2 is simple. For multiplayer, we recommend playing small maps like Nuketown or Season 3’s new Diesel map with a Tactical Rifle of your choice equipped.
For Warzone, we’d recommend completing the challenge in Plunder. You can guarantee you’ll get a Tactical Rifle in your loadout from the off, and players respawning gives you much more opportunities for a double kill.
But for these challenges, make sure you finish the match and don’t back out early, as that will cancel your progress.
And if Zombies is your favorite mode, you should use a Tactical Rifle in Outbreak. The huge maps can make almost every kill you get a Longshot.
How to get the CARV.2 Konsole Blueprint
Along with the challenge, a Blueprint for the CARV.2 is also available in the store. If you purchase the Plastik Porotype Bundle for 1200 CoD Points in either Cold War or Warzone, you’ll get access to the new Tactical Rifle with its Konsole Blueprint.
Along with this new Blueprint, you’ll receive a retro 80s themed Emblem, Charm, and Sticker, as well as a Battle Pass Tier Skip.
Black Ops Cold War’s Optics have recently seen a buff in Warzone, so you can check out which sight you should use on your CARV.2 once you’ve unlocked it.
