Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War are getting a new TEC-9 SMG in Season 5, and here is how you can unlock it for future fights.
Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War will both be getting an array of new weapons for players to use with one of them being the TEC-9, and we have everything you need to know to unlock this new SMG.
The official reveal of Season 5 for Warzone and Cold War has injected plenty of excitement in the Call of Duty community, as a variety of content like new Warzone perks and a new Cold War Scorestreak will be delivering plenty of action for players.
Season 5’s roadmap also showed off what new weapons players can expect to see added to both games when the new period of content launches on August 12. In addition to the EM2 Assault Rifle, players will also be able to get their hands on the unique semi-auto TEC-9 SMG.
With this in mind, here is how you can unlock the TEC-9 in Warzone and Cold War Season 5.
How to unlock TEC-9 in Warzone and Cold War
Players will find that this SMG is one of the free weapons that will be available for players to earn by leveling up the Season 5 Battle Pass. Those who get their Battle Pass to Tier 31 will automatically unlock the TEC-9 in Warzone and Cold War.
There will also be a “Microchip” Legendary Blueprint that can be unlocked for the TEC-9 at Tier 100 of the Battle Pass.
According to the official description of this new SMG, it is a semi-automatic weapon that has “improved accuracy from longer ranges with low recoil and slower fire rate” and “good damage output with moderate range.”
The Season 5 Battle Pass overview also revealed that the TEC-9 will have attachments to change its fire mode. Activision revealed that “Operators can outfit it with one of two unique attachments that change its fire type to either three-round burst or fully automatic.”
There are sure to be plenty of players who will be extremely excited to jump into Season 5 and unlock the TEC-9 in Warzone and Cold War to see how powerful the newest secondary actually is and how it stacks up in the meta for both Call of Duty games.
