Battlefield 2042’s Season 2 update is here, bringing a ton of changes including a new map and weapons. There are three new guns to unlock in Season 2, so here’s how to unlock the AM40, PF51, and Avancys in Battlefield 2042.

It’s no secret that Battlefield 2042 got off to a rough start, with the Season 1 update being delayed by months to get the game in the best shape possible.

Battlefield 2042 Season 2 went live on August 30, taking players to Panama where they fight over an abanded cargo ship in the new Stranded map. That’s not all though, as DICE have started moving classic Portal weapons over to All Out Warfare, and introduced three new weapons.

The AM40 Assault Rifle, PF51 Pistol, and Avancys LMG can all be unlocked for free as part of Battlefield 2042’s Season 2 update, so here’s how to get your hands on all of the new weapons.

All of Battlefield 2042’s new weapons can be unlocked through the Season 2 Battle Pass but don’t worry about purchasing the Premium Pass as they are all free tiers.

Here are all of the Battlefield 2042 Season 2 weapons and their unlock requirements:

  • AM40 Assault Rifle – Battle Pass Tier 10
  • PF51 Pistol – Battle Pass Tier 22
  • Avancys LMG – Battle Pass Tier 34

All of these new weapons can be unlocked through sheer playtime, but you’ll get your hands on them faster if you play the objective and complete any daily challenges offered. Then you’ll be able to level them up and equip all of the attachments.

How these new weapons will fit into the meta remains to be seen, but on paper, they sound like powerful choices so should be well worth unlocking.

Battlefield 2042 Season 2 also brings the EBLC-RAM vehicle to unlock, the new Charlie Crawford Specialist, and even more weapons such as the Bren and M249 SAW have been added to Portal.
