Call of Duty: Warzone 2 arrives on November 16, but you can have the game preinstalled and ready to go ahead of its launch. Here’s how to preload Warzone 2 on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Battle.net.

Warzone 2, the continuation of Call of Duty’s hit battle royale, finally arrives alongside the extraction-based DMZ mode on November 16. Coinciding with Modern Warfare 2’s first season, players can actually preload Warzone 2 ahead of its full release.

With preloading now live across all regions, here’s to how to preload Warzone 2.0 on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, and Battle.net.

Xbox and PlayStation players can preload Call of Duty: Warzone 2 by searching for ‘Warzone 2.0’ through their Platforms store then pressing the ‘pre-install’ button, or by following these links: Xbox and PlayStation.

However, if you already own Modern Warfare 2 and have it downloaded, then you will have already preloaded Warzone 2. If you don’t want Warzone 2, then you can simply modify your install.

How to preload Warzone 2 on Battle.net

To preload Warzone 2 on Battle.net on PC, you just need to either search for Warzone 2.0 through the Store or follow this link.

Again, if you already have Modern Warfare 2 installed then Warzone 2 will have been preloaded already, and you simply need to wait until November 16 for the battle royale to go live.

How to preload Warzone 2 on Steam

Steam players can preload Warzone 2 by finding ‘Warzone 2.0’ in the store or by following this link, then hitting the ‘Pre-Load Game’ button.

Like all of the other platforms, if you already have Modern Warfare 2 bought and installed, then Warzone 2 will have already been preloaded ahead of Season 1 on November 16.

Warzone 2 preload file size

It was originally reported that Warzone 2 would have a 115 GB file size on Xbox, but players are finding that the preload is much smaller.

Here are some of the Warzone 2 pre-load file sizes that have been reported so far:

  • Xbox: 6.2 GB
  • PlayStation: 38.6 GB
  • Battle.net: 17.4 GB
  • Steam: 23.76 GB

The most likely scenario is that the preload is a barebones version of Warzone 2 that’s tied in with Modern Warfare 2’s files, and the size will shoot up once the Season 1 update is downloaded on November 16.
