Fortnite Creative 2.0 has arrived, and CoD fans have wasted no time recreating classic multiplayer maps including Rust from Modern Warfare 2. Here’s how to play MW2’s Rust in Fortnite Creative 2.0, along with the island code required.

Creative Mode has always been a major part of the Fortnite experience, allowing fans to bring their own ideas to life with an intuitive set of tools. Now, with the launch of Fortnite Creative 2.0, the possibilities are almost endless.

Using the power of Unreal Editor, players on PC can embrace their inner game developer to make weird and wonderful creations. This includes classic Call of Duty maps, and one user has already built the iconic Rust from Modern Warfare 2.

Here’s how to play Rust from Modern Warfare 2 in Fortnite Creative 2.0, along with the island code you’ll need to boot it up.

How to play Rust in Fortnite Creative 2.0

To drop into the classic Rust map in Fortnite Creative 2.0, you’ll need to enter the map code 6650-9855-3010 from the main Creative menu. You’ll know you’re on the right island if it was created by the user mist_jawafett.

If you’re still having trouble, here’s a step-by-guide on how to find Rust in Fortnite Creative 2.0:

  1. Open up Creative 2.0 in Fortnite.
  2. Select ‘Change’ to switch the map or mode you’re playing.
  3. Click the ‘Island Code’ option found at the top of the screen.
  4. Type in the map code: 6650-9855-3010.
  5. Hit ‘Play’ to load into mist_jawafett’s Rust map.

Once loaded in, players will be able to enjoy a game of Hardpoint on a faithfully recreated version of the iconic map from the original Modern Warfare 2 in 2009, complete with large metal structure at the center.

While the mode is limited to using weapons from Fortnite rather than Call of Duty, they have been given a handful of tweaks to make them feel more authentic. For example, the Infantry Rifle has been renamed to the Kar98k.

The guns even come with camos that resemble the likes of Dark Matter or Damascus from past multiplayer titles. So, even though the gunplay is unmistakably Fortnite, the creator has pulled out all the stops to make this version of Rust feel as true to the Call of Duty series as possible.
