How to play Halo Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op: Progression, mission replay & more

While Halo Infinite had a positive reception at launch, players were calling for the developers to make a few changes as the game was missing key features from other Halo titles, such as Campaign Network Co-Op.
Now, the Winter Update has brought this highly anticipated feature to the game, so we’ll go over how you can jump into this mode, as well as everything there is to know about the progression and mission replay.

How to play Halo Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op
Halo Infinite’s Campaign Network Co-Op let you tackle the game’s campaign with help of up to three other players. All four players will have each other’s backs and take on enemies together.
Here’s how to start a Campaign Network Co-Op session as confirmed in a Halo Infinite blog post:
- Launch Halo Infinite.
- Select the “+” symbol below your Nameplate and add players to your Fireteam.
- Head to the Social menu and select the Friends tab.
- You can now join a friend’s Fireteam or invite them to join yours by selecting their Gamertag and choosing from the options on their Profile.
- The Fireteam Leader (FTL) will have a crown icon in the Fireteam widget and should navigate to the Campaign menu in the Play tab.
- In the Campaign menu, the FTL can select to Continue their latest save file, start a new save file, or load a specific save file.
- Once the FTL selects their save file, they will enter the Campaign Co-Op menu where they can select the preferred Difficulty level and which Skulls to enable.
- After pressing the Start Co-Op button, the rest of the Fireteam will be prompted to select their save file.
- The FTL can select Start Game to initiate the session once all players select their save file.
Halo Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op mission replay
If you want to tackle a specific campaign mission with your Fireteam then you just need to highlight the mission and select replay. Halo Infinite launched without this option much to the frustration of fans.
Now, the Winter Update has finally brought the feature to the game. You can also select difficulty and activate skulls before starting the mission. This will grant you the chance to get certain abilities that weren’t accessible you first played through the mission.
Halo Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op Spartan Core progression & collectibles
Halo Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op lets you level up Master Chief’s abilities through Spartan Cores. If one player finds and picks a Spartan Core, all other members of the Fireteam will be credited for it.
After that point, each player has the option of leveling up whichever aspects they want. So you can upgrade one skill while your teammates can level up others, making each individual more useful.
Halo Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op progress transfer
Previous Halo titles kept your solo and Co-Op progression separate, but the Halo Infinite devs confirmed that the game will combine the two. Your Fireteam’s save file will apply the campaign progress to every member.
So, you won’t have to worry about losing your progress when other players join your campaign. This way, all progress made in Co-Op sessions will carry over to each player’s individual save file. The developers call it the “No Spartan Left Behind” system.
Is Halo Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op cross-platform?
Halo Infinite Campaign Network Co-Op has cross-platform support across Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. This allows PC players to hop into the game with their friends on consoles by using the Fireteam system.
Principal Software Engineer Lead Isaac Bender explained that “any combination of PCs and Xboxes up to four players are supported, as is playing over Xbox Cloud Gaming. All Co-Op games are hosted on dedicated servers.”
