Halo Infinite’s Big Team Battle mode is all about teamwork but arming your Spartans to the visor with powerful weapons also helps. Luckily, Fragmentation has Loot Caves full of equipment, and here’s how to open them.

Season 1 of Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer is well and truly underway, and millions of Spartans are dropping in to grind the new Battle Pass.

Big Team Battle is Halo Infinite’s most epic game mode, putting 24 players’ reflexes and teamwork to the test on grand, open maps. It’s also the perfect mode to try out the game’s huge arsenal of weapons.

In fact, if you’re playing on Fragmentation, there are entire rooms brimming with guns. Here’s how to open the Loot Caves on the Fragmentation map.

Where to find Loot Caves on Fragmentation

343 Industries have supplied two Loot Caves on Fragmentation, both with huge grey and red doors guarding them. They are on opposite sides of Fragmentation – on the top and bottom if you look at it from a landscape perspective – in between the two bases at either end.

It’s hard to miss them, as they stand out well from the lush greenery seen on the rest of the map.

Accessing one, or stopping the enemy team from doing so, can completely change the tide of a fight. Each one has powerful weapons hiding inside, as well as powerups like Active Camo or the Grapple Hook.

With so much valuable loot inside, these spots are going to be heavily fought over, so expect a battle to open them.

Each Loot Cave has a lock that can be interacted with. Doing so will send out your personal AI companion who will begin trying to open the vault.

It sounds straightforward, but it takes 20 seconds for the AI to break the lock and open the doors. If you move more than 25 meters away from the door, the timer will stop and reset

During this time, the enemy is probably going to bombard you with shots and grenades, so make sure you have a capable team with you to give you some cover.

That was everything you need to know about how to open the Loot Caves in Halo Infinite. If you’re on the wrong end of a match, these vaults are just the thing to flip it on its head.
